FELIX FLOREZ
A born and bred Texan, Felix has worked in the restaurant business his whole life. Originally born in McAllen, TX, Felix moved with his family first to Dallas and later to Houston, where he got his first job in the industry.
Aged 19, Felix purchased his bistro located in Austin, TX. Since then, Felix has been fortunate to work with many top restaurants, refining his skills and pallet.
Felix is driven to bring a new farm-to-table concept to the Texan community with a passion for high-quality ingredients, heritage, and mouth-watering flavors. Searching for the best selection of heritage breed hogs raised humanely, and they are allowed to enjoy the land and partake in a natural diet in a free and open setting.
As Felix's reputation has grown, restaurants quickly see the quality and expressive flavors of the meat he offers. It was from these relationships and hard work that Cherry Block was born.
"Texans For Texans" is a motto that runs deep with Felix. He believes in Texas and what it has to offer. The ongoing work with the community is something the whole team at Cherry Block is very passionate about, and they look forward to seeing you at the market very soon.
